Born
11th Marc 1957 in Nommay in Doubs, France.
Self
taught artist, adopted son of the Creuse, Alain Forjan has
a true passion for painting since he was a young boy. Practicing
figurative art over many years he has been successful in
the artistic circle of the celebrated valley of the Creuse.
Ever
evolving in his research of materials and colours Alain
stands out more and more among the Crozant painters by his
technique, a veritable union between impressionism and contemporary
art. With an energetic style, he paints with palette knife
to obtain a dynamism generated by the tool, for the pleasure
of working with oils which allows him to archieve the required
effect. His method splashes the canvas with large brilliant
and vigorous displays.
His
work has apparent spontaneity of body movement; his touch
shows a scrupulous organization born in the spirit of the
artist to successfully manifest sumptuous harmonies on the
canvas. Countryside, houses and also Jazz musicians in very
distinctive colours offer the public a variety that is individual.
Alain
Forjan refuses to place himself into any particular style
but follows his own route which enriches the feeling of
the times. In this way creating at each exhibition a new
spectacle for the visitor.
Alain is also happy to carry out commission canvases upon
request.
